It was very close to old Eureka. When I arrived , I knocked on the door and the receptionist opened the door.As soon as he opened the door I said hi , he said hi and he asked are you ners / nurse / nurs? I said sorry what?He said are you traveling nurse ? I said oh no . Why ? He says oh no . Just asking . It was a weird question that he asked . First I thought he is asking my name . Then I realized oh ok , he wants to know my occupation. But come on . The first few interaction you have with a guest, why you ask that question. He gave me a very Wei/ fearing feeling . Then he asked if I have a reservation, I said yes . He asked for my ID . When I gave him my ID , he did what he was supposed to do and then he asked are you from Sri Lanka? I said no . I am not . Why ? He said because you look like a Sri Lanka people . Damn . Another weird question. I dont have anything against anyone or any country but For real why you ask these kind of questions? I dont know maybe this receptionist dies not know how to talk and he just wants randomly ask weird questions to just start a conversation!? I dont know . For me its just he is giving a very bad first impression and a very bad customer service . I got the key to the room and after few hours I went back to him and asked if I can pay to him or should I reserve another night on line ? Is it cheaper if I rent with him ? And he said no . Renting online is better for me . It was like I had a better price online . He said go ahead rent it online and of course we keep you in the same room . All good . I reserved another night .. The next day I went out when I wanted to go back to my room , my room key card was not working , I went to him and asked him to fix it . He asked for my ID . I said why do you need my ID . You already know me . He started yelling and screaming. Seriously. I am not joking. I said stop . Why are you yelling at me ? He still was yelling and saying I need your ID , it is another booking

Nice staff, especially the receptionist. Helpful, got the bus timetable with contact information when I needed itgoing north. Even a cnopener was provided for my tuna dinner.

It was conveniently located a few blocks from Lost Coast. The rooms were very clean and the shower was awesome, great for tall people. I like how the parking is in the building.

Danny at the front desk was a really good guy, helpful.. even tho the hotel wasnt as expected, Danny was really nice.

Manager and staff were very friendly. The location to downtown was great! I slept very well though there was some loud strange female commotion in the middle of the night. Didnt last long. The room was very comfortable. I loved that you could open the window and air the place out. I dont like using air conditioning units.

The restaurant under the hotel has the best steaks in Eureka. I actually drive 6 hours one way just to eat there.
